Sexual Immorality

Sexual immorality is one of the reasons that the wrath of God is coming upon man. There are other things such as drunkenness, slander, and lying; but sexual immorality stands out because it is promoted by society and the most unclean. There are many things that are sexually immoral. It is increasingly becoming necessary to point a number of these out:

·        If a man commits adultery with another man's wife-with the wife of his neighbor-both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

·        If a man sleeps with his father's wife, he has dishonored his father. Both the man and the woman must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

·        If a man sleeps with his daughter-in-law, both of them must be put to death. What they have done is a perversion; their blood will be on their own heads.

·        If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

·        If a man marries both a woman and her mother, it is wicked. Both he and they must be burned in the fire, so that no wickedness will be among you.

·        If a man has sexual relations with an animal, he must be put to death, and you must kill the animal.

·        If a woman approaches an animal to have sexual relations with it, kill both the woman and the animal. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

·        If a man marries his sister, the daughter of either his father or his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off before the eyes of their people. He has dishonored his sister and will be held responsible.

·        If a man lies with a woman during her monthly period and has sexual relations with her, he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has also uncovered it. Both of them must be cut off from their people.

·        Do not have sexual relations with the sister of either your mother or your father, for that would dishonor a close relative; both of you would be held responsible.

·        If a man sleeps with his aunt, he has dishonored his uncle. They will be held responsible; they will die childless.

·        If a man marries his brother's wife, it is an act of impurity; he has dishonored his brother. They will be childless. (Leviticus 20:10-21)

The most prominent of these is the act of faggotry - a man lying with a man as one lies with a woman. This act being accepted and even promoted in society denotes a people that have completely turned from God in their depravity —an example would be the late city of Sodom. It is the full blossom of the fruits of perversion, a fully ripened defilement of one’s fellow man. Which is quite appropriate for the wine press of God’s wrath awaiting them.

If an individual claims to be righteous and promotes homosexuality or even condones it, he/she has a form of godliness but denies its power and/or he/she is a ravenous wolf disguised in sheepskin. These, of course, have a dark place reserved for them. Whilst they assure, promote, condone or love homosexuality; God hates them.

The righteous hate what is false, but the wicked bring shame and disgrace. (Proverbs 13:5)

The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates. (Psalm 11:5)

Someone might use the story of Jesus and the woman who was caught in adultery as a scapegoat. However Jesus’ last words to her were “sin no more.” If she went on sinning in her sexual immoralities, after seeing the goodness of Jesus Christ’s salvation, then there would no longer remain reconciliation for her further adulteries.

A person who has committed homosexual acts, like any fornicating/perverted person, is condemned until forgiven. This person is not forgiven unless he/she turns away from these sins. To be forgiven and return to something as sexual immorality, like a dog returning to its vomit, it is worse for that man than before.

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, and ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:18-32)
